With its warm and rustic atmosphere, Hartville Kitchen offers home-cooked and simple food done right. Don't be intimidated by the size of the dining room. The menu is easy and straightforward and offers something for everyone. I order the broiled chicken breast which included 3 sides. I chose chicken noodle soup (delicious and not too salty), side salad with shredded lettuce and carrots, and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. If you seek mashed potatoes reminiscent of your grandmother's you've come to the right place. Very creamy and buttery. Generous portion of chicken that was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Service was wonderful and my water was never empty. Must try if you are in the area.
Impressive place! The bakery smells reel ya right in! There's a nice gift shop that carries clothes to pottery to skin care and everything in between! The food offerings are as homemade as a place this size can do and quite delicious. I was working in the area and pleased that I decided to make the stop here! You'll too be impressed if you try it!
Picked up a starter Thanksgiving pack for the first time. Everything was wonderful and I will do it again. No having a huge turkey in the oven makes such a big difference, since we do so much seafood as well. Thank you for everything!
Wonderful staff! The place is absolutely massive and has the ability to seat larger parties. Food is great and comes out quickly. Lots of little shops to check out after you get Something from their bakery.
Pretty surprised at how nice my experience was! BF and I came here on a muggy, drizzly, hot day and had a late lunch here. The restaurant entrance is tucked into this massive shopping area and kitchen store. With all the hoards of people coming and going and shopping, it was kind of chaotic but we did eventually get seated. Service was fast, attentive and flowed very smoothly. There was even a special person designated to only desserts to whom you told your dessert order to, lol! I ordered the fried chicken dish (of course) and it came with 3 sides. The pieces of chicken weren't big but were quite tasty! That sweet potato casserole...chile...it was covered in cinnamon sugar and soooo good. The buttered noodles were salty and soft enough but very plain. Some chives or scallions would have dressed them up! The broccoli salad was really good! So fresh and crunchy! BF got the creamed chicken dish with biscuits that tasted good but looked kind of messy. I made many more purchases at their kitchen Amish shop including sweets so we didn't indulge in their desserts.
What a wonderful surprise this place was. At first, I thought it was a cafeteria style and started to panic. It didn't take long to realize it is not!! It is a busy but pleasant place to eat. The service was exceptional. The food even better..... and the desserts!!!! Hard to pick just one. We will definitely be back.
Ordered birthday cake, so good! Will order again. It was fresh and rich. My picky son loved it.
